3.5 months old

We don't think she recognizes herself in the mirror yet, but that doesn't stop Daddy from wanting to do experiments to prove it... like those ones where they put dots on a dolphin or chimp to see if they try to wipe it off when looking in the mirror.


Alyssa had her first baby sitter when Dave and Tami went to Dave's company's holiday party (always in January) in the North End. Aunt Judy was more than happy to spend some time with Alyssa!

She's been interested in holding her own bottle lately. It usually doesn't last very long, but long enough for Daddy to finish brushing his teeth before taking Alyssa to day care.


Alyssa has two sleeping poses. The first is when she's falling asleep - she sucks her right thumb, and strokes her head with her left hand. This is her second sleeping pose, when she's in a deeper sleep.

Alyssa has been doing a lot of talking lately. Her new favorite thing is to blow raspberries, which she's doing in this picture.
